My sister found Hank for me through the shelter a little over a year ago. She knew how much I missed my yellow lab that I had to give up in my divorce. She sent me pictures of Hank the day she saw him at the shelter and was amazed at how well-mannered and well-trained he was. I had to decide how well he would do in a condominium and with my cat, Socks.
So, my sister visited with him for a couple of days at the shelter, took him to visit with cats and other dogs, walked him and so forth. He seemed to be very calm and she even wondered if he knew how to bark.
Well, long story short, it was a match made in heaven! He is just perfect for me, and even perfect for Socks. He now has a very extended family – my son has eight children and they all just love Hank, and Hank loves them all. Little Aiden, however, is for some reason afraid of him so Hank does not really pay a lot of attention to him. We hope that someday Aiden will come around, but it doesn’t matter because he gets a lot of attention from the other seven children.
